In Indian culture and Hinduism,
colour is an integral part. The colours that i use have a symbolic
inference.
The Black also reflects the granite of the murtis, but also a reflection
of the world that we live in that has many illusions. The yellow, is a
friendship and is also used during Kavadi a hindu ceremony that is
associated with Lord Muruga, that is reflecting the youthful nature of the
Divine. The white is a symbolic of purity and is also the reflection of
the sacred ash used by Hindus.
La couleur fait partie intégrante de
la culture indienne et de l’hindouisme. Les couleurs que j’utilise ont une
inférence symbolique. Le noir représente le granit des statues mais aussi
notre monde fait d’illusions. Le jaune est l’amitié ainsi que la couleur
associée à Muruga lors de la cérémonie du Kavadi, symbolisant la nature
toute jeune du divin. Le blanc est symbole de pureté et fait référence aux
cendres sacrées utilisées par les hindous.
